Riyadh: The Human Rights Commission branch in Tabuk Region yesterday carried out a series of awareness programs and activities to mark the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, aiming to raise awareness of human trafficking crimes and ways to prevent and protect against them.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the activities included awareness lectures covering the concept of human trafficking, its various forms and indicators, methods of prevention and reporting, and the role of relevant authorities in protecting victims and combating such crimes.
In cooperation with the Tabuk Region Municipality, the branch also displayed awareness content on electronic screens at several locations across Tabuk city to enhance public awareness of the various forms of human trafficking and the importance of contributing to efforts to combat it.
The programs are part of the branch's ongoing efforts to promote a culture of human rights and raise awareness of relevant laws and regulations.
