Riyadh: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced a significant growth in the Children's Hospitality Centers sector, with 1,900 licensed centers now operating across 13 regions in 2025, serving more than 60,000 children.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the expansion reflects the increasing demand for child care services, emphasizing early childhood development and community needs. The ministry oversees five types of centers: independent centers for children from birth to 10 years, workplace centers aligning with hosting entity hours, mobile centers using equipped trailers for children aged one to 10 during mornings, home-based centers for children from birth to six years, and pilgrim centers in Makkah and Madinah operating 24/7 for pilgrims and Umrah performers.
These centers provide comprehensive programs focused on cognitive and mental skill development, enhancing social interaction, conversation, and emotional expression, while ensuring safety during parents' absence.
The ministry has streamlined licensing procedures with electronic applications, requiring applicants to be Saudi investors, at least 18 years old, and without a history of center closures due to violations in the past three years.
To support investors, the ministry offers rapid electronic license issuance, financial assistance from the Human Resources Development Fund, consultations, guidance, and specialized training workshops to improve operational efficiency.
