Riyadh: Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will attend the sixth edition of the grand international horse race, the Saudi Cup, on Saturday evening, February 22, 2025, at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event features an elite lineup of the world’s strongest horses, top jockeys, and leading local and international owners. The Saudi Cup is one of the world’s most prestigious and richest equestrian events, with total prize money amounting to $38.1 million.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Equestrian Authority and the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA), Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Faisal, expressed his delight at this esteemed patronage. He extended his highest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, honorary president of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, and to HRH the Crown Prince, for their great and continuous support of this global event, the Saudi Cup.
Prince Bandar stated that the event receives the keen attention of HRH the Crown Prince, who has dedicated all resources to ensuring its continued success and its prominent position on the global stage of horse racing through the application of the highest technical standards in speed horse racing systems. This has contributed to its international recognition and follow-up from various tracks and federations worldwide.
