Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and President Donald J. Trump of the United States co-chaired the Saudi-US Summit at the Royal Court in Al-Yamamah Palace today. The summit focused on bilateral relations and efforts to enhance the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States across several sectors, as well as discussions on regional and international developments and security and stability issues.
According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and the US President signed a Strategic Economic Partnership between their respective governments. They also witnessed the exchange and announcement of multiple bilateral agreements and memoranda. These included a memorandum of understanding for energy cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Energy and the US Department of Energy, and a memorandum of intent to modernize and develop the capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces with the US Department of Defense.
Additional announcements included a memorandum of cooperation in mining and mineral resources, a letter of intent for joint cooperation on defense systems, and a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Interior and the FBI. Other agreements involved judicial cooperation, space collaboration, customs assistance, air transport amendments, medical research cooperation, and cultural collaborations with the Smithsonian Institute.
The US President concluded his visit to the Royal Court, departing after the successful summit, accompanied by HRH the Crown Prince.
