Najran: The Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation, in collaboration with public and private entities and under the guidance of the Ministry of Sport branch in the Najran Region, organized a mountain hike in Wadi Mughaydid, also known as Shaib Mughaydid, to commemorate International Mountain Day. The event saw the participation of sixty individuals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the activity aimed to familiarize participants with the mountainous environment of the region and promote ecological balance. The event also sought to motivate visitors and mountain hiking enthusiasts to protect these natural areas, adhering to the slogan 'Leave No Trace.'
Hiking, which involves walking and climbing in natural settings, often takes groups of enthusiasts along predetermined routes. These journeys, led by specialized guides, traverse forested or rugged mountain areas far removed from urban centers.
A camera from the Saudi Press Agency accompanied the hiking team during their expedition along the Wadi Mughaydid trail. The trip attracted several enthusiasts and was guided by a team of experienced leaders.
