Heritage Commission to Host International Conference on Digital Heritage 2025 in Riyadh

Riyadh: Under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Heritage Commission Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Heritage Commission will host the International Conference on Digital Heritage 2025 from December 9 to 10 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event will bring together leading academics, experts, researchers, and specialists from around the world.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference aims to highlight the latest global developments and emerging trends in the use of digital technologies to preserve and promote cultural heritage. It also seeks to strengthen international cooperation in documentation, protection, and accessibility, while presenting innovative solutions and technological applications for managing heritage data and developing artificial intelligence tools tailored to the sector.

The program will focus on four key themes. The first, Foundation, addresses the documentation and management of heritage data using modern technologies. The second, Sustainability, examines ways to protect heritage from both digital and physical threats. The third, Innovation, showcases creative digital solutions and advanced technologies that contribute to the dissemination and promotion of heritage. The fourth, Integration, emphasizes capacity building, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of community and institutional partnerships to broaden the impact of digital transformation across the heritage sector.

The conference will feature a diverse program of scientific and practical activities, including panel discussions, research presentations, training workshops, and interactive exhibitions highlighting the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and 3D printing. It will also offer immersive digital experiences that allow visitors to explore cultural heritage treasures in engaging and innovative ways.
