Hail: Hail Region has emerged as one of Saudi Arabia's leading tourism destinations, blending cultural depth with natural beauty. The region is home to 675 archaeological sites, including two UNESCO World Heritage locations-Jabal Umm Sinman and Al-Shuwaymis-alongside 218 heritage architecture sites and 88 historic mosques.
According to Saudi Press Agency, key attractions include Jabal Aja, Jabal Salma, Jubbah, and the Faid Historic City, in addition to modern landmarks such as the Hail Regional Museum, Hail Airport, and the internationally renowned Rally Hail.
Hail recorded the highest nationwide growth rate in international tourist spending in 2024, up 491%. In the first half of the year alone, the region welcomed more than 1.1 million visitors, including 170,000 international and 907,000 domestic tourists. Overall, Hail received 2.3 million tourist arrivals through more than 1.17 million trips.
Hail also boasts robust transport infrastructure, including 243 bridges, 42 overpasses, Hail Airport, and a station operated by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR). The SAR North Train Network facilitates both passenger and freight movement, connecting Hail to regions such as Qassim, Riyadh, and Al-Jouf. Each year, 696,000 passengers travel through Hail via SAR.
The region continues to attract tourism-related investment, supported by its natural and historical assets and more than $338 million in government funding. Its strategic location enhances its appeal for logistics and transport development, with growing potential for industrial investments in sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, and automotive manufacturing.
