Gusty Winds and Thunderclouds Expected Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for Wednesday, warning of gusty and dust-stirring winds that are expected to reduce horizontal visibility across several regions, including Eastern, Riyadh, Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders. Thunderclouds accompanied by gusty winds are anticipated to form over the southwestern highlands of the Kingdom. Additionally, fog is likely to develop during the night and early morning hours in these areas, as well as in the Eastern Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to northeasterly winds in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly winds in the southern part at speeds of 15-40 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, with sea conditions varying from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be predominantly northwesterly to northerly, reaching speeds of 20-45 km/h. Waves in this region may rise from one meter to two and a half meters, with the sea also expected to be calm to choppy.
