Riyadh: A panel discussion titled 'From Regulation to Enablement: Infrastructure Policy for Digital Economy' was held today as part of the exhibition accompanying the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25), hosted by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) in Riyadh. According to Saudi Press Agency, the session reviewed the findings of a study on the readiness of infrastructure policies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The study included indicators and trends aimed at supporting digital transformation and fostering a sustainable digital economy. Speakers examined the current state of digital infrastructure policies across the region. They outlined key challenges, such as the need to modernize regulatory frameworks and encourage investment in advanced telecommunications networks. The session concluded by stressing that bridging the digital divide and expanding connectivity are essential foundations for building a sustainable digital economy that meets the aspirations of societies.
