Riyadh: In his Friday sermon today, Grand Mosque Imam Sheikh Bandar Balila affirmed that Allah created humankind prone to error to demonstrate His mercy and forgiveness, making repentance and seeking forgiveness among the greatest acts of devotion. Sheikh Balila explained that the easiest way to atone for sins is to follow them with good deeds, emphasizing the virtue of monotheism. He added that Allah forgives those who call upon Him with sincere hope, even if their sins are great.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Balila warned against habitual wrongdoing, urging believers not to despair but to let every sin motivate them to perform a good deed, noting that a believer’s pain and regret over their sins is itself a sign of faith.
