Grand Mosque Deploys Multilingual Staff for a Smooth Hajj Experience

Makkah: In a bid to enhance the Hajj experience for pilgrims visiting the Grand Mosque, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque has deployed a team of nearly 500 highly trained Saudi personnel. Working alongside employees of other authorities, these staff members play a multifaceted role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth movement of worshippers within the mosque's vast premises. They have a wide range of duties, from monitoring the fire safety system and maintaining clear walkways for pilgrims to reach designated prayer areas to managing the flow of visitors on escalators. They also ensure that public health protocols are followed and oversee the Grand Mosque's library and museum, safeguarding their contents while facilitating organized visits. Security supervisors fluent in Sinhalese, Urdu, Hausa, Persian, English, and Turkish are available to assist pilgrims from around the world. This comprehensive approach combining crowd management with c ultural sensitivity and safety measures works to provide a seamless and enriching experience for all visitors to the Grand Mosque.
