Governor of Diriyah Leads Eid al-Adha Prayers at Historic Mosque

Diriyah: His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Turki, Governor of Diriyah, along with worshippers, performed the Eid al-Adha prayers at the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Mosque in Diriyah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the prayers were led by Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Askar, who began his sermon with praises to Allah and encouraged the congregation to maintain a sense of fear and reverence towards Him. He emphasized the importance of tolerance, compassion, family ties, and kindness towards parents, as well as the need to show compassion to the poor, needy, and orphans.

During the sermon, Sheikh Dr. Al-Askar highlighted the significance of Eid al-Adha, focusing on the ritual of sacrifice as a means for Muslims to draw closer to Allah. He concluded by expressing gratitude for the ease and facilities provided to pilgrims by the Kingdom, and supplicated for the well-being and abundant rewards for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister.
