Sisi: Egypt’s digitization potentials are great

President Abdel Fattah el Sisi said Egypt’s digitization potentials are great as the state is strongly heading in this direction which represents the present and the aspired future.

Addressing the inauguration of the 23rd edition of Cairo International Communication and Technology Conference “Cairo ICT 2019”, President Sisi said Egypt is a large market of 100 million people and the state adopts a clear strategy in this sector to ensure its success, especially in efforts to combat corruption, reach good governance and lower the human element in administrative procedures.

Egypt is ready to cooperate with the private sector to launch the e-commerce platform in Africa similar to Amazon and Alibaba websites which supports e-commerce in Egypt and Africa, President Sisi said.

He expressed happiness that Egypt is hosting the Universal Postal Union (UPU) conference, which is to be held for the first time in Africa.

Egypt welcomes being a platform for exhibitions that serve humanity, reconstruction, peace and progress and offers all facilities to improve its performance in the various fields, he added.

He welcomed all companies and exhibitors and wished them all success.
