The Arab Parliament has welcomed the new resolution by the Republic of Jamaica to recognize the state of Palestine, highlighting this as the first step in the right direction towards supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and establishing Palestine as an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Parliament called in a statement today upon the countries that have not recognized Palestine yet to take this step as soon as possible. It demanded the international community and all countries correct the mistakes of the past, and stand with the Palestinian right, the Palestinian people and their just cause.
