General Directorate of Border Guard Participates in Red Wave-7 Naval Exercise to Enhance Maritime Security


Riyadh: The General Directorate of Border Guard at the Ministry of Interior is participating in the “Red Wave-7” mixed naval exercise, in which nations bordering the Red Sea, such as Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, and Djibouti, take part.

The exercise takes place at the King Faisal Naval Base, the Western Fleet, and sees the participation of various branches of the Armed Forces, including the Navy, Land, and Air Forces.

The exercise aims to strengthen maritime security for the countries bordering the Red Sea and protect their territorial waters by simulating various combat scenarios. These scenarios include electronic warfare, countering speedboat attacks, safeguarding shipping lines, combating smuggling and piracy, as well as addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
