Riyadh: The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem AlBudaiwi, received the Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Deemah Al-Yahya, at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh today.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, the two officials reviewed cooperation relations between the GCC and the DCO and discussed the latest developments regarding the memorandum of understanding between the two sides. This MoU aims to bolster collaboration in digital transformation, enhance technological infrastructure, and foster digital innovation to contribute to sustainable development and strengthen the digital economy in the GCC countries.
Discussions also addressed ways to support joint initiatives to enhance digital innovation, develop technological infrastructure, and stimulate the digital economy by coordinating efforts and exchanging knowledge among GCC countries and DCO member states.
The two sides expressed their aspirations for further cooperation in the future, contributing to achieving common goals and enhancing their position in technology and digital innovation.
