GCC-China Senior Officials Meeting Held Within Strategic Partnership Framework

Riyadh: A meeting of senior officials between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the People's Republic of China was held in Riyadh today, bringing together senior officials from the foreign ministries of the GCC member states, a Chinese delegation, and the GCC General Secretariat.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting explored areas of cooperation and ways to develop them within the framework of the Joint Action Plan for 2023-2027, and exchanged views on the future of GCC-China relations.

The meeting discussed Iranian attacks on GCC member states and their repercussions for regional security and stability, as well as several regional political and security issues, including the security of maritime corridors and navigation, energy security, and counterterrorism.

The two sides underscored the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues of common interest and supporting efforts to promote security and stability.
