Riyadh: The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) and Statistics Finland have formalized their collaboration through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed during the inaugural Saudi Statistics Forum. The agreement was signed by GASTAT President Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Dossari and Statistics Finland Director General Markus Sovala.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU establishes a framework for joint initiatives, capacity building, and integration to achieve shared objectives. The agreement outlines cooperation in several key areas, including the exchange of technical and knowledge expertise. It also includes sharing statistical awareness programs and public communication strategies.
The memorandum further emphasizes the organization of joint conferences, seminars, and workshops, along with facilitating expert visits related to statistical work. This partnership aims to enhance the statistical capabilities of both organizations by fostering a collaborative environment for shared learning and innovation.
