GACA President Crowns Winners of Aviation Hackathon

Riyadh: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) concluded the 2025 aviation hackathon (AVITHON) in Riyadh yesterday, organized in cooperation with Elm Company and the Digital Saudi Program. In a speech during the closing ceremony, which was attended by several officials, experts, and innovators, GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej said that the challenge serves as a pioneering national platform reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to turning innovation into reality, contributing to the development of the aviation sector, and achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030. He emphasized that innovation and advanced technologies are key drivers for improving operational efficiency, providing exceptional user experiences, and boosting the sector's global competitiveness.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Duailej also praised the creative solutions presented by participants, calling them inspiring examples of how determination and hard work can shape a more advanced and efficient future. He expressed his gratitude to all partners, supporting entities, organizing committees, and everyone who contributed to the success of the challenge.

The ceremony featured a video presentation showcasing the hackathon's journey, followed by the presentation of the top five innovative ideas. Al-Duailej then crowned the winning teams after months of competition that brought together talented young innovators from across the Kingdom, and honored the working team and supporting partners.
