Riyadh: Australian authorities have confirmed one fatality and substantial damage due to severe flooding in the state of Queensland. The coastal Hinchinbrook Shire, housing around 11,000 residents and located about 500 kilometers north of the state capital Brisbane, is currently grappling with severe flooding. Heavy rainfall has caused water levels to rise significantly, prompting authorities to urge thousands of residents to evacuate to higher ground.

According to Saudi Press Agency, emergency services are working around the clock to rescue those stranded by the floods and provide assistance to affected residents.
