Minister of Culture Haifaa Najjar pledged support of youth initiatives, and said her ministry will place its resources and facilities at the disposal of any youth project of benefit to the country. Najjar, who sponsored the opening of the first media forum, which was organized by Elgusto Agency for Training and Consulting at the Royal Cultural Center, said “the presence of a group of new young media professionals willing to uphold the national media message is an incentive for all to support youth projects”. Head of the forum Mustafa Abu Sweilem said it aims to emphasize the importance of injecting valuable content that “respects people’s minds and helps to creating a new generation of media professionals, who search for the truth and fight misleading information, profane content and rumors”. The first media forum brought together students and graduates of media faculties in Jordanian universities in addition to those interested in media work and content makers, with the aim of liaising students, media professionals, owners of media institutions and production companies and specialists, to network with each other and qualify them with the necessary skills to enrich their careers.
