Arar Customs Thwarts Attempt to Smuggle over 40 Kilograms of Methamphetamine

Arar: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at the Jadidat Arar border crossing has successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle 42.6 kilograms of methamphetamine. The illegal substance was cleverly concealed inside the fuel tank of an incoming vehicle, marking a significant triumph in the ongoing battle against drug smuggling.

According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi announced that after the seizure, coordinated efforts with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control culminated in the arrest of the intended recipient within the Kingdom. Al-Harbi reiterated ZATCA's unwavering commitment to enhancing customs control measures and collaborating with security partners to safeguard society from smuggling activities.

Al-Harbi encouraged the public to report any smuggling activities through the secure hotline number 1910, email at [email protected], or the international number 009661910. He assured that all reports would be handled with strict confidentiality, and financial rewards would be provided for accurate information that aids in thwarting such illegal activities.
