CAIRO: The Film Commission is actively participating in the 45th Cairo International Film Festival, scheduled to be held in the Egyptian capital from November 13 to 22. This event, established in 1976, is recognized as one of the oldest film festivals in the Arab world and the MENA region. It attracts a diverse group of filmmakers, industry experts, investors, production companies, artists, critics, journalists, and cinema enthusiasts, serving as a crucial platform for exchanging expertise and fostering cooperation and creativity in culture and art. According to Saudi Press Agency, the Film Commission's delegation includes a select group of Saudi filmmakers who are set to engage in two critical panel discussions. These discussions will focus on film commissions and opportunities for collaboration and production, as well as an examination of Saudi cinema, exploring prospects and challenges in line with Vision 2030. The sessions aim to highlight the significant opportunities available within the film industry, showcase advancements in Saudi cinema, and discuss its cultural and economic potential while addressing the obstacles it faces.
