Ethiopian Cultural Events Conclude under ‘Global Harmony 2’; Sudanese Culture Week Begins Tomorrow

Riyadh: The Ministry of Media concluded the Ethiopian Culture Days events held as part of the ‘Global Harmony 2’ initiative, organized in cooperation with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), amid strong attendance by visitors of various nationalities who interacted with the diverse Ethiopian cultural and heritage performances.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the events took place at Al-Suwaidi Park, one of Riyadh Season 2025’s venues, and were executed through an initiative by the Quality of Life Program to fulfill the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The events included a range of cultural, musical, and entertainment performances, as well as handicraft showcases, adornment pavilions, and traditional fashion displays.



The event drew thousands of citizens and residents from different nationalities, who explored the features of Ethiopian culture through folk arts, traditional music, and customs. The closing day was highlighted by performances from Ethiopian singers, musical shows, folk dances, and 360 Circus shows, engaging the audience with Ethiopia’s cultural heritage.



The ‘Global Harmony 2’ initiative will continue with the Sudanese Culture Week, which starts tomorrow and runs until December 20. This event will feature over 80 exhibitors and performers who will present Sudanese folk arts, traditional dances, and cultural segments that reflect Sudanese culture’s depth.



Sudanese Culture Week will also offer several concerts with prominent Sudanese singers and influencers performing national songs and showcasing Sudanese musical heritage. The event will highlight traditional Sudanese attire, products, handicrafts, accessories, bridal customs, and popular foods and dishes from Sudanese regions.



Over more than 40 days, the ‘Global Harmony 2’ initiative has provided a cultural experience highlighting 13 cultures represented by residents in the Kingdom, showcasing their customs, traditions, and music. The initiative has received acclaim for highlighting the lives of residents and the services provided to them.
