Jeddah: The Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) participated as a knowledge partner in the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG 2026), hosted for the first time in the Kingdom under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan at the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, ETEC's participation reflected its national role in developing assessments and measurement tools, supporting the quality of gifted education, and contributing to the establishment of an education system grounded in measurement and evaluation. It also sought to enhance the identification and nurturing of talent in line with scientific principles and international standards.
APCG 2026 was held under the theme 'Fast Forward: Building a Better Future for Gifted Education 2050,' with the participation of a select group of international specialists and experts. The conference addressed several topics related to gifted education, including diversity and inclusion, support for twice-exceptional students, personalized learning pathways, and aligning gifted education with the labor market.
