Riyadh: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture celebrated Organic Food Day, underscoring the Kingdom's growing success in organic farming, with production exceeding 98,000 tons and 570 organic farms spanning 24,000 hectares across the country. Observed annually on November 11, Organic Food Day highlights the importance of organic food and its health benefits, as well as the Kingdom's commitment to protecting public health and improving the quality of life for Saudi families.

According to Saudi Press Agency, an accompanying exhibition was held at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh, featuring Saudi farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and companies specializing in organic agriculture. The event showcased a wide range of local organic products, reflecting the sector's steady development and increasing consumer demand.

The celebration coincided with the opening of the fourth edition of the Saudi International Organic Products Exhibition (BIOFACH Saudi Arabia) in Riyadh, which drew broad participation from government entities, investors, and stakeholders in organic and sustainable farming.

The ministry emphasized that the remarkable growth in the Kingdom's organic sector demonstrates the strong support of the wise leadership, along with incentive programs provided to farmers and continued collaboration between government bodies and the private sector. These efforts align with the goals of Vision 2030 to promote agricultural sustainability and boost local production.
