Riyadh: The Ekram Association for Food Preservation in Makkah has provided services to over five million pilgrims and beneficiaries in Makkah and Madinah from the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah until the end of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah. According to the association's Director, Ahmed Al-Matrafi, services included preserving and distributing surplus food in Makkah and Madinah, as well as Iftar meals, water bottles, food baskets, fresh meat, and hot meals around the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in the holy sites, and pilgrims' residences. He said that over 1,700 volunteers participated in providing these services, which are part of the association's efforts to serve pilgrims and people in need and promote social solidarity.
