Riyadh: The WBC Grand Prix semifinals concluded at Boulevard City as part of Riyadh Season 2025, sending eight fighters to the December 20 finals in the Saudi capital.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in super lightweight action, Uzbekistan's Mujibillo Tursunov advanced by majority decision, while Colombia's Carlos Utria secured a first-round TKO victory. In the featherweight division, Italy-Albania's Muhamet Qamili earned a first-round TKO, and Mexico's Brandon Mejia won by a knockout in the fifth round. In the middleweight category, Canada's Derek Pomerleau advanced via majority decision, with Australia's Dylan Biggs claiming a unanimous decision win. In the heavyweight division, Bosnia's Ahmed Krnjic and Argentina's Kevin Ramirez both advanced by split decision.
Finals will be eight rounds per bout to crown champions in the four divisions. The single-elimination tournament began in April with 128 boxers from more than 40 countries and has featured more than 120 bouts to reach this stage.
