CAIRO, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation must ensure the safe delivery of aid in the Gaza Strip to those desperately in need. In a statement by the Foreign Ministry, Shoukry's calls came during a phone conversation with Sigrid Kaag -- the UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza. The ministry affirmed that the conversation between Shoukry and Kaag focused on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and future efforts to rebuild the war-torn area. The conversation between the two also touched on the obstacles that Israeli put in the way of delivery of life-saving aid, it added. The two also discussed ways to rebuild the Rafah Crossing on the Palestinian side, which was demolished by the Israeli aggressors. Source: Kuwait News Agency
