Riyadh: Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan highlighted the deep-rooted educational ties between Saudi Arabia and the United States, noting that the US has been a leading destination for Saudi students for over 70 years, contributing to the development of national competencies in fields such as medicine, engineering, science, and management.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Benyan pointed out that the Kingdom, through its universities, such as King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, and King Faisal University, has established more than 120 research cooperation agreements with US institutions. These partnerships cover research in renewable energy, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence (AI).
He added that over 15 training and collaborative programs are currently underway with US universities and research centers in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and clean energy technologies. He also noted that the Kingdom has launched partnerships with prominent US universities for researcher exchange and the development of technical and educational capacities.
