Economic Growth Crowns Saudi-French Trade Relations

Riyadh: Trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic have witnessed significant growth over the past five years, building on a century-long relationship and strengthening a partnership based on mutual interests and shared visions for a prosperous future. The volume of trade between the two countries during the 2021-2025 period reached approximately $53.7 billion, with Saudi exports accounting for 53.4% of the total.

According to Saudi Press Agency, bilateral trade recorded growth of approximately 43.8% in 2025 compared to 2021, reaching nearly $12 billion. Key traded commodities included boilers, machinery, equipment and mechanical appliances. Saudi Arabia's main exports included aircraft, spacecraft and their parts, while its main imports included boilers, machinery, mechanical appliances and pharmaceutical products, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics.

The Saudi Commercial Attach© in the United Kingdom has contributed to strengthening bilateral economic relations by facilitating Saudi exports to French markets and attracting French investments to the Kingdom. The attach© oversees Saudi business activities in France and supports efforts to develop and expand bilateral trade relations.

The General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) works to develop the Kingdom's trade and investment relations with international partners and target markets, contributing to the achievement of its strategic objectives. It also provides technical support to the private sector and helps maximize its benefit from trade agreements and privileges available in partner countries.

GAFT seeks to enhance the Kingdom's gains in international trade and safeguard its interests in foreign trade, contributing to the growth and diversification of the national economy.
