Dammam: Mayor of Eastern Region Eng. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir affirmed that the marine transport investment project is a key development initiative that will boost economic activity, tourism, entertainment, and transportation while also helping to reduce traffic congestion, lower road maintenance costs in Dammam, decrease carbon emissions, and promote environmental safety.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Jubeir made these remarks during a meeting he chaired today in Dammam to discuss the project's developments, attended by representatives of security and government agencies as well as investors.
He explained that the project enjoys the support and patronage of Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, emphasizing that its success requires the concerted efforts of all parties and the empowerment of investors to accelerate implementation.
