Al-ahsa: Under the patronage of Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the AlSharqiyah International Festival for the Beauty of Purebred Arabian Horses started yesterday at Al-Ahsa Municipality Castle. According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival is supported by Al-Ahsa Governor Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr and organized by the King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center. The event features 278 horses from 188 owners across six countries, showcasing the best of purebred Arabian horses. Competitors will vie for six championships across 16 races through March 7, highlighting the purity and aesthetic conformation of the Arabian breed. This competition brings together some of the finest specimens, emphasizing the rich heritage and cultural significance of the Arabian horse. By hosting this prestigious international gathering, Al-Ahsa reinforces its status as a premier cultural hub. The event promotes tourism and heritage, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of cultural preservation and eco nomic diversification through tourism.
