Eastern Region Governor Inaugurates Second International Autism Conference

Dhahran: Governor of Eastern Region Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz today patronized the opening of the second edition of the International Autism Conference and Exhibition at Dhahran Expo. The two-day event brings together 100 speakers, including physicians, specialists, and experts from inside and outside the Kingdom, to exchange expertise and review the latest research, technologies, and global experiences related to autism. The event also witnessed the signing of a cooperation memorandum to employ 1,000 individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Saud expressed appreciation for the services provided by charitable associations supporting individuals with autism, in line with the directives of the wise leadership, which places strong emphasis on empowering the third sector and providing it with all necessary support to achieve its objectives in serving beneficiaries.

The governor of Eastern Region highlighted the accomplishments made in awareness, rehabilitation, and direct services, stressing the importance of continuing these efforts in a way that meets the aspirations of the leadership and contributes to improving the quality of life of beneficiaries.

The conference is considered the region's largest event dedicated to autism spectrum disorder, featuring more than 100 exhibitors representing over 30 participating countries.
