According to Saudi Press Agency, the 13th Dumat Al-Jandal Dates Festival, organized by the municipality, highlighted palm frond crafts as a central feature in line with the Year of Handicrafts 2025. Craftsman Dhafi Al-Sarhani demonstrated his skill, producing traditional items like mats, baskets, hand fans, and bread plates.



Self-taught in the craft five years ago, Al-Sarhani emphasized the importance of preserving this heritage, recalling that natural dyes such as charcoal and pomegranate were used in the past to color the fronds.
