Riyadh: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held today in Riyadh. The session was marked by discussions on recent diplomatic engagements and key decisions impacting international relations and cooperation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet reviewed recent talks held by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, with leaders of several brotherly and friendly nations. These discussions focused on regional and international issues. The Cabinet expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his positive remarks, conveyed in a phone call with HRH the Crown Prince, regarding Saudi Arabia's role in hosting talks between Russia and the United States. It reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to promoting global peace and security and emphasized the importance of dialogue in resolving international crises.

Following the session, the Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and Acting Minister of Media, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, told the Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of Saudi Arabia's participation in recent regional and international meetings. This is part of the Kingdom's ongoing support for multilateral efforts that promote sustainable development and prosperity, addressing shared global challenges.

The Cabinet expressed hope that the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum will contribute to unifying efforts and developing innovative solutions for enhancing humanitarian response in light of increasing global disasters and crises. It highlighted the Kingdom's longstanding commitment to providing aid and relief to those in need worldwide.

The Cabinet commended the success of the first annual global AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies, co-organized by Saudi Arabia and the International Monetary Fund. It highlighted the conference's strategic vision, which promotes international cooperation and paves the way for a promising global economic future.

Dr. Bin Saeed stated that the Cabinet deemed the Kingdom's presidency of the World Trade Organization's General Council (2025-2026) as confirmation of its international standing and leadership role in strengthening partnerships and achieving constructive outcomes toward a more efficient, sustainable, and inclusive global trading system.

The Cabinet noted the broad international participation in the fourth Saudi Media Forum held in Riyadh and the launch of initiatives including programs to enhance media business incubators and accelerators, support financial and regulatory transformation, foster talent development, and adopt modern technologies.

The Cabinet tackled other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, among which the following:

First, the approval of a headquarters agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association to relocate the association's headquarters to Riyadh.

Second, authorizing the chairman of the board of trustees of the King Fahad National Library, or a deputy, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding with the Polish side for cooperation between the King Fahad National Library and the National Library of Poland.

Third, approving a cooperation agreement and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of crime control, civil defense, and civil protection between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Republic of Tanzania.

Fourth, authorizing the minister of industry and mineral resources, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Brazilian side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of mineral resources between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy.

Fifth, authorizing the minister of investment, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Ivorian side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of C´te d'Ivoire for cooperation in promoting direct investment.

Sixth, authorizing the minister of investment, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Bahraini side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Investment and the Bahrain Economic Development Board for cooperation in promoting direct investment.

Seventh, approving a memorandum of understanding in the field of higher education and scientific research between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America.

Eighth, approving an agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Guinea in the field of air transport services.

Ninth, authorizing the president of the General Bureau for Auditing, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Mexican side a draft memorandum of understanding between the General Bureau for Auditing of Saudi Arabia and the Superior Auditor of the Federation of the United Mexican States for cooperation in accounting, auditing, and professional work.
