CST Invites the Public to Submit Their Views on its Plan for Space Use of Frequency Spectrum

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) called on the public to provide their views on its space use plan for frequency spectrum, aiming at enabling space radio services, studying the most critical trends and needs of manufacturers, operators and users, in addition to ensuring optimal use of frequency spectrum and meeting the needs of innovative space technologies.

CST gave an account of its analysis of the plan’s current situation of space radio services in the Kingdom, the most prominent global trends in space services, and the requirements and challenges facing frequency spectrum regulators to enable space radio services.

The commission emphasized that this plan stems from its role in regulating space radio services and its future vision regarding the satellite communications services market trends in the Kingdom.

CST offered all relevant and interested parties inside and outside the Kingdom a grace period until September 10, 2023, to provide views, observations and suggestions on the plan’s details, justifications, analytical studies, benchmarking studies and other information, if any, indicating that public feedback could be sent through:
