CST Governor Inspects Telecommunications, Technology Readiness for Pilgrims in Madinah

Madinah: Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) Dr. Mohammed Altamimi inspected the readiness of the telecommunications and technology sector at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the Prophet's Mosque, and the Haramain High-Speed Railway station for the 1446 AH Hajj season during his visit to Madinah Region today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspection tour included visits to the sales centers of telecommunications service providers located in the airport lounges designated for receiving pilgrims, ensuring their capability to serve arriving pilgrims and meet their needs. The CST governor also visited the Haramain High-Speed Railway station, where he reviewed key preparations for receiving pilgrims and providing comprehensive telecommunications services across the station's facilities.

Furthermore, he reviewed the quality of telecommunications services in the courtyards and facilities of the Prophet's Mosque to ensure the best possible services for pilgrims and verify that all arrangements and precautions were in place to guarantee service continuity and reliability.

Altamimi and his accompanying delegation received a briefing on the preparations of relevant entities and the services provided to pilgrims, including the readiness of technologies, innovations, and human resources to accommodate the influx of visitors. He also reviewed the technical and technological aspects, as well as the operational plans for the 1446 AH Hajj season.

This tour is part of the commission's preparations to serve pilgrims during this year's Hajj season and its commitment to delivering telecommunications and technology services with high efficiency and quality.
