Crane crash kills 17 Indians in Maharashtra

At least 17 workers were killed and three others injured following a crane crash at a bridge construction site, Indian officials said on Tuesday.

The Press Trust of India said quoting government official that 17 workers were killed and three others injured following a crane crash at the third phase of Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra’s Thane district.

Few people are feared to be still trapped inside. Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed their condolences and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
