Cairo: The Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers held its 21st session yesterday at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, under the chairmanship of Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary, with participation from Arab ministers of information and heads of member-state delegations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in his opening remarks, the minister of media stated: 'This meeting is a continuation of efforts aimed at advancing joint Arab media cooperation. We are discussing several important items, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, which will always remain the most central issue for our Arab nations and peoples.'

He stressed the importance of harnessing Arab media efforts in support of the Palestinian cause through all available means. He called on all Arab media outlets to reaffirm the centrality of the Palestinian cause and the firm support for the Palestinian people in securing their legitimate national rights-foremost among them their right to freedom and an independent, sovereign state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. He emphasized supporting the two-state solution and final-status negotiations, as well as mobilizing Arab and international public opinion in support of Arab efforts to confront the Israeli occupation and to promote Arab peace initiatives.

The minister also highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has worked to activate the Arab Peace Initiative based on the two-state solution, which has created an unprecedented pathway toward establishing the Palestinian state. This effort contributed to several influential countries recognizing the State of Palestine, in addition to the significant success achieved by the international two-state solution conference in New York, which helped mobilize the international community and encouraged it to adopt a more serious approach toward an actionable alternative to political stagnation and toward advancing the establishment of the Palestinian state.
