Abidjan, The first batch of Côte d'Ivoire pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative left today from Abidjan International Airport for Madinah, where they will arrive at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport. Saudi Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire Saad Al-Qathami saw the pilgrims off at the airport. The Makkah Route Initiative facilitates pilgrims' travel by having visas issued electronically, biometric data collected, having all travel procedures carried out at the airports of the countries of departure, including ensuring that the pilgrims have a clean bill of health, and coding and sorting baggage, according to the transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
