Riyadh: The Ministry of Commerce issued its quarterly consumer protection bulletin for the third quarter of 2025, highlighting the most prominent efforts in combating commercial fraud, commercial concealment, e-commerce, and other areas. The bulletin highlighted the diligent oversight efforts by inspection teams, which helped prevent over five million counterfeit products from reaching consumers.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the bulletin detailed inspection visits targeting fraud and commercial concealment, as well as the role of the unified consumer complaints call center, Bainah, which strengthens coordination among government agencies to safeguard consumer rights. The third-quarter bulletin also underscored the compliance rates of online stores evaluated in the ministry's recent assessment. This evaluation reviewed 100 online stores to increase compliance and help stores enhance their services.
During the three-month period, the ministry processed over 168,000 commercial complaints. The most frequently reported issues involved online stores, followed by contractual disputes and violations of exchange and return policies.
