Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Condemns Attack on Giants Brigades Commander, Vows ‘Iron Fist’ Response to Destabilization Attempts

Riyadh: Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Malki stated that the coalition strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack targeting the convoy of Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, Commander of the Second Division of the Giants Brigades, and his companions. The attack, which took place this evening in the Jaoula area of Lahj Governorate, resulted in the martyrdom of several people and the wounding of others.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Malki described the criminal act as a violation of all human and moral values, expressing the coalition's deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

Major General Al-Malki affirmed that the coalition will respond with an "iron fist" to any attempts to target Aden and the liberated governorates, or undermine national unity. He emphasized that the coalition is coordinating closely with relevant authorities to ensure the security of citizens and maintain stability, driven by its humanitarian and moral duty toward the Yemeni people.

The spokesperson called for unity, the rejection of discord, and full cooperation with the Yemeni government and security forces to confront sabotage and terrorist operations targeting the liberated governorates. He stressed that such attempts will fail to undermine social peace and that the coalition remains unwavering in its role to strengthen security and stability.

Al-Malki emphasized the coalition's commitment to supporting Yemeni security efforts to pursue the perpetrators of this crime and bring them to justice. He reiterated the necessity of concerted local and international efforts to combat terrorism and eliminate its ideological and financial sources.

Concluding his statement, Al-Malki urged all parties to prioritize wisdom and national interest, warning that the coalition will deal firmly with any entity attempting to threaten the security and safety of Yemeni society.
