Civil Defense Issues Rainfall Warning for Regions Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution and stay in safe areas, avoiding locations where torrents and valleys are likely to accumulate. It is advised not to swim in these areas and to follow the instructions provided through various media outlets. This advisory comes in response to expected thunderstorms affecting several regions of the Kingdom, starting today, Sunday, and continuing until Thursday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate explained that Makkah Region will experience moderate to heavy rain, which could result in torrential downpours, hail, and dust storms. Affected areas include Taif, Maysan, Adham, and Al-Ardhyat. Meanwhile, light to medium rainfall is anticipated in Makkah, Al-Jumum, Al-Muwayh, Turabah, Ranyah, Al-Laith, and Al-Qunfudah.

Additionally, Jazan, Najran, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions are expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall.
