‘Chinook Clanga’ Shipping Service Added to Dammam, Jubail Ports to Enhance Saudi Connectivity with 16 Regional, Global Ports

Dammam: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the new shipping service Chinook Clanga by MSC to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port. This move boosts the Kingdom's strategic position and enhances the competitiveness of its ports regionally and globally.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the new service links King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port to 16 regional and international ports, including Khalifa Bin Salman Port in Bahrain, Hamad Port in Qatar, Nhava Sheva Port in India, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Vung Tau and Hai Phong in Vietnam, Nansha, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Qingdao in China, Busan in the Korean Republic, Seattle in the United States, and Vancouver and Prince Rupert in Canada. The service offers a capacity of up to 14,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

Adding this service is part of Mawani's efforts to improve Saudi Arabia's global performance indicators, enhance operational efficiency at King Abdulaziz Port and Jubail Commercial Port, and support the flow of national exports. It aligns with the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a key link connecting three continents.
