According to Saudi Press Agency, French chess prodigy Alireza Firouzja, representing Team Falcons, earned his spot in the final after defeating Nodirbek Abdusattorov in the quarterfinals and Arjun Erigaisi in the semifinals.
World champion Magnus Carlsen of Team Liquid, known for his top global ranking in chess, maintained his winning streak by defeating Nihal Sarin in the quarterfinals. Carlsen then advanced to the final after a widely followed and competitive semifinal match against Hikaru Nakamura.
The much-anticipated final between Carlsen and Firouzja is scheduled for today, alongside a third-place playoff featuring Hikaru Nakamura and Arjun Erigaisi.
