Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its support for a newly announced roadmap designed to address the ongoing crisis in the southern Syrian province of As-Suwayda. The roadmap has been agreed upon by the Syrian Arab Republic, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the United States of America.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed this initiative, viewing it as a significant step towards consolidating civil peace and enhancing security and stability in the region. The Ministry reiterated Bahrain's unwavering support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also highlighted Bahrain's commitment to backing both regional and international efforts aimed at achieving security and peace in the region. The statement emphasized the importance of meeting the aspirations of the Syrian people for stability and sustainable development under the rule of law and proper institutions.
