The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday vehemently denounced the tearing up by an extremist of a copy of the Holy Quran in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, in a disgraceful act that upsets all Muslims and incites extremism and hatred.
In a press release, the ministry enunciated utter opposition to such repeated acts and practices that run counter to all human values and freedom of religion and belief.
It added that it would summon the Swedish ambassador in Bahrain to hand him an official note of protest against keeping allowing extremists to desecrate the Holy Quran.
The ministry, further, called upon Sweden to take legal action to thwart such heinous practices that breach religious teachings and fan out strife, intolerance and extremism, according to the release.
