Riyadh: Deputy Minister of the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria, Andreas Reichhardt, along with his delegation, visited the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh. This visit was part of the Austrian delegation's official visit to the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visit, discussions were held on potential institutional cooperation between the Institute of Public Administration and its Austrian counterparts. Key areas of focus included administrative development, digital transformation, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise in public policy and modern government administration models.
The delegation also delved into various leading governmental practices, notably the Austrian government initiative 'Best Practices Austria.' This initiative, spearheaded by the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria in collaboration with other governmental bodies, aims to gather, analyze, and disseminate successful government experiences to enhance institutional efficiency and performance.
Further discussions addressed opportunities to bolster cooperation in digital transformation, e-government, education and vocational training, innovation, scientific research, and the transfer of knowledge and technology. These efforts are aligned with sustainable development goals and contemporary trends.
Both parties emphasized the significance of expanding international partnerships and leveraging distinguished global experiences to refine government work systems and build leadership and administrative capacities. Such initiatives are seen as instrumental in fostering comprehensive government capability development, supporting economic, financial, and institutional transformation, and enhancing cooperation frameworks and expertise exchange between Saudi and Austrian entities to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
