Aspire Academy Celebrates Graduation of 16th Batch

Aspire Academy held Tuesday a graduation ceremony of its 16th batch, the class of 2022-23, at the Aspire Dome.

The batch is the largest one, in terms of number in history since the graduation of the first batch in 2008 and includes 54-star athletes in various sporting disciplines to mark the closing of another academic year since it was inaugurated in 2004.

The ceremony was attended by HE President of Qatar Football Association and Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani. The event witnessed a special honoring ceremony from Aspire Academy.

Deputy Director General at Aspire Academy Ali Salem Afifa said the academy achieved many gains and enriched the Qatari sporting scenes with large number of star athletes in various games who managed to achieve Olympic and world records, along with the collective achievements that were made by winning the title of 2004 AFC Youth Championship, as well as winning the title of 2019 Asian Nations title.

Meanwhile, Afifa congratulated the graduates and for their unwavering efforts and work, adding that all trainers commended the athletes’ developed performance after six years of academic journey.

He said that all trainers and teachers have been tirelessly working to develop athletes in all aspects and it is time to apply the knowledge they have acquired from Aspire Academy on the real ground to be ambassadors for the academy, pointing out that the journey has come to an end to initiate a new one, in pursuit of attaining highest grades of excellence at the scientific and sports levels.

For his part, Director of Education and Student Affairs at Aspire Academy Badr Jassim Al Hay praised the enormous efforts exerted by the teaching staff in the academy.

In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) Al Hay noted the efforts made by the students, staff and students’ guardians who offered great cooperation in all circumstances, urging graduates to maintain perseverance to complete their journey towards the scientific achievements.
